Biscay: revenues $ 129.1 Q1 ME

Biscay realizes a turnover in Q1 2011 of EUR 129.1 million for continuing operations, up 15.3% (+12.2% after controlling for the impact of the planned shutdown of the stationery in March 2010).
The Group thus exceeded the levels of billing for 2007 and 2008.

Wood for the activity (excluding forestry) revenue was up nearly 10% thanks to strong sales of lumber and the rise of wood constructions, despite lower segment decorating products which the market remains difficult.

Paper business posted net sales up by 27.7% (+ 11.4% after controlling for the impact of the planned shutdown of the mill in March 2010).

Activity Bags are up 28.6% of sales up in first quarter profits and a sharp upturn in activity. This strong growth for all sites except Greece.

The business posted revenue of Complex Business Center in Q1 up 11.1% due to continued price increases and sales growth on the strategic segments.
