CAC 40: sharp decline in early trade

The Paris Stock Exchange fell in early trade Monday, as the crisis of sovereign debt in the eurozone is back on center stage.
Around 10:30 am, the CAC 40 dropping 1% to 3980.1 points. The Chartists are nevertheless noted that the Paris index, very volatile lately, has recorded no fewer than six reversals in seven sessions.
"If the global economic recovery progresses, conditions remain difficult, and growth continues to create uncertainty," recalled this morning strategists at HSBC.
The bank sealed by the debt crisis of the euro, the strongest sign including low ACC: Credit Agricole lost 2.5%, 2.1% Societe Generale and BNP Paribas 2.1%.
"Greece stole the show given the uncertainties surrounding its ability to access capital markets next year," says one at Credit Suisse.
"The question is how the country will fund its financing gap of 27 billion euros for 2012," the department.
The euro remains weak and is trading around 1.4150 dollars against 1.41 Friday evening.
Alcatel-Lucent fell back 1.3% to 4.3 euros, while UBS has withdrawn its recommendation of short-term "buy" on the title, while leaving its recommendation to 12 months 'neutral'.
On the SBF 120, only Seb highlights side increases (+0.9% to 74.2 euros) after taking control of Vietnamese society Asia Fan, specialized in fans, without disclosing financial terms of agreement.
